Thirty-seven sings a lusty tune,
Having found a perch above the choir.
Intent on caroling the rising sun,
Revved to resonate, with rare aplomb
The artist flings his voice towards heaven's fire,
Yielding only to the pensive moon.

So does he answer beauty with desire,
Eager to fill a void where there is none:
Vistas vast with splendid visions strewn,
Each sent aloft of borrowed sunlight spun,
Now merged into the greater light, and higher.
