Forever Remains Folded into Time

A 55th anniversary poem about love, eternity, and time:
Forever remains folded into time,
Infinity tucked into every moment,
Found through love, the wonder and the sign
That hangs like rainbow mist above life’s torrent.
Years matter not, nor decades, generations
Flowing through the defiles of our days
In a stream of thoughts, hopes, dreams, sensations
Vanishing beneath our inward gaze.
Eloquence matters not, nor strength, nor wisdom,
Yearning, wanting, desiring what one would,
Endurance, poverty or wealth, ambition –
All matter not, rightly understood.
Remember: Though love graces time, it dwells
Somewhere timeless, from which life’s spring upwells.
