Reason gives to faith an obligation, As faith must give to reason its reward. Mere words, though holy, cannot guide the mind Absent a wisdom with deep faith combined, Defining when one’s soul might be a sword. Anger, vengeance, courage, love of nation— None should shed one drop of blood if blind.
