To me your blackness is a hymn to night, Or a journey deep into some sweet unknown. No evening could produce a richer tone, Nor shade a more seductive use of light. Even though the mystery of your skin Takes my lips and hands across your fields, Touching you not so much treasure yields As entering the mystery within.
