Fear Might Well Be Likened to a Wall
Fear might well be likened to a wall,
Inside of which one might be safe from harm.
For some, a good defense; for others, all
That keeps them from the choice of moving on.
Yet what might come of change is never known.
So must one enter blind the darkened plain,
Enduring fear for fear of living less,
Vested in a choice that fate might bless,
Ever in the open, where again
Night comes, though with but little hope of rest.
