For those who didn't know me, I was shy:
In contrast to my companions, the skittish one.
Nor can I one moment fathom why;
Nor do I regret it, now I'm done.
Each of us is given a temperament,
Granted which, we make of it what we will.
Affection was my natural element,
Not for most, but for those few I love still.
