H olidays are handed down,
A re gifts from old to young
P ieces of a legacy
P art played, part danced, part sung.
Y ears and generations pass,
H olidays remain,
O rganized each time anew,
L inks upon a chain.
I n every generations those
D etermined to pass on
A thing of beauty they have known,
Y earning for the seeds they've sown,
S ing till they are gone.
