Oliver

Oliver's roses are all deep velvet red.
Lighter colors--pink and peach and white--
Intimate a delicacy not quite
Vivid enough to mirror Oliver's heart.
Even my love for him cannot, apart,
Relieve his passionate need for tears unshed.
