P raised be those who would distribute power,
R econciled to bickering and waste,
E nduring, even in the darkest hour,
S uch hacks as pander to the popular taste.
I n such a system, life can be frustrating,
D emanding patient tolerance to rule.
E veryone has blessings worth berating,
N or need one much at stake to be a fool.
T he president is forced to be a leader
S ince all are free to follow or oppose;
' Mid maelstroms, both captain and conceder,
D eftly tacking when a headwind blows.
A ll know divided power leads to strife,
Y et few would yield to one vain will their life.
