V ast differences between us are like oceans
A cross which we can fly with open arms.
L et us put aside our doubts and qualms,
E nduring through the joy of shared emotions.
N eed is the sustainer of devotions,
T he answerer of queries and alarms,
I ssuer of ecstasies and charms,
N emesis of unromantic notions.
E ach of us needs love as we need food.
' Ere we see, we longing look for love,
S urviving only by that gift of feeling.
D eeper than mere sentiment or mood,
A hunger we remember little of
Y et yearns in ways redemptive and revealing.
