Thirty-one has wrestled with her angel, Holding on through one long, bitter night. In time such angels tend to reappear, Returning to remind us they are there, Though once is quite enough for them to fight. Yet angels are well known for being watchful. Once vanquished by a stronger will, they bear No malice as they bathe in holy light, Enjoying the long days of life eternal.
