Nicholas looks best equestrian: In triumph, swords crossed above his head. Cantering aslant across the dead, He rides beyond our eyes pedestrian. Open-handed, he fills his board with treasure; Light-hearted, he has a will like steel. All wish this apparition weren't real. Still, Nicholas enjoys his complex pleasure.
