Sing of the grassroots politics of love,
Empowering the beautiful and good.
Voting is an existential act
Engraving one's identity in fact,
No less than reifying what one would.
Though some quixotically prefer to lose,
Yielding power to those who power abuse.
For love in politics requires tact,
Openness to shall instead of should,
Uniting through concessions interests that
Realign the rifts that mountains move.
