Silent snow, gentle snow, Old refrains, sweet refrains, Now fill the night as daylight wanes, So beautiful no blight remains. Gripped by winter, gladness reigns! Remember, then, remember well: Each inner light will darkness quell; Each inner fire will warm, as well, The bliss that's caught in winter's spell. In joy and celebration sing, Nor heed the words the cold winds bring, Greeting cares with caroling, Singing till the turn towards spring! Copyright by Nicholas Gordon.
